Work Commences On School Project

Recently work commenced on an extension to St. Louis Grammar School in Ballymena. The project involves the construction of a first floor extension over existing changing rooms, a new two storey entrance lobby and first floor link to the existing school building. The new development will incorporate a fitness suite, dance studio, staffroom, lobby, toilet facilities, lift and partial refurbishment of facilities on the ground floor. The construction will consist of steel portal frames, external cavity walls (part), internal solid walls and insulated cladded panels to roof, along with associated mechanical and electrical services. External works consist of a new bitmac area, service drainage and landscaping. The project is expected to take six months to complete.

The project is 55% funded by Mid & East Antrim Borough Council.
