Restoring the Past, Building the Future

The new build 650 square metre Rehoming Centre has been designed & constructed to provide specialist facilities for the animals coming in in need of medical treatment, rehabilitation and rehoming. The site was located on a green field site adjacent to the existing Rehoming Centre.

The main building is steel frame with traditional blockwork cavity wall construction & external wall and roof cladding systems. Works included all M&E services and fit out and finishes with specialist supply chain for supply of animal and hygiene specification requirements.

Externally, siteworks comprised provision of service utilities to the Centre including new sewage treatment plant, carparking and hard and soft landscaping. New external spaces provide exercise and training facilities with private enclosures and exercise areas finished in varied surface finishes for rehabilitation and training including grass, sand, tarmac and paved areas.

With the Rehoming Centre now complete martin & hamilton have been awarded the second Phase by Dogs Trust and are on site constructing the new Vet, Puppy & Intake Centre on the old Rehoming Centre site.
