Restoring the Past, Building the Future

New warehouse with associated carparking and HGV Yard delivered in 2 phases by M&H.

The new 3700sqm Warehouse was constructed in pad and strip foundations and structural steel frame providing a new facility with internal height of 18m at pitch.  Install of new dock levellers, lifts and internal office accommodation.

External works included all siteworks, concrete and bitumen surfacing, fencing, barriers, gates and vehicle restraint system.

Works were delivered in the constrained site accessed via busy roadway shared with adjacent commercial premises and the public.

Ground conditions were challenging with poor, wet ground requiring geotextile and significant concrete works to facilitate the large steel frame of the warehouse. The Yard was designed with constantly changing slopes to suit existing levels, drainage and reflect land fall. The significant concrete works were managed by our Site Engineer and included a 250 cubic metre pour in one day, detailed joint designs for internal warehouse concrete floor and delivery of 45 degree angled dock levellers along the side elevation to facilitate ease of HGV movement for loading and unloading.
